Introduction
The PSQ provides useful feedback to doctors by providing a measure of the patients’ opinion of the doctor’s relationship and empathy during a consultation.The evidence provided is useful in helping trainer and trainee to address needs and facilitate educational shift during the training period.
On the Nottingham scheme, because GPR's spend 20 months in General Practice, the PSQ is carried out twice. On both occasions the questionnaures are carried out is a General Practice setting and not a hospital setting.
The PSQ will take place as follows:
- During Specialty Training Year 1 when in General Practice
- During Specialty Training Year 3 when in General Practice
